Routine Monitoring

Ultrasound Scans: Performed at 10-14 weeks for dating and 18-22 weeks for organ checks[cite: 129, 130].
Urinalysis: Conducted at every visit to identify diabetes or other co-existing conditions[cite: 143, 144].
Vital Care: Includes at least 2 doses of antimalarials and deworming protocols in the second trimester[cite: 135, 138, 139].

Healthy Lifestyle

Diet: Prioritize fiber-rich foods (vegetables, grains) and avoid excess sugar[cite: 89, 90].
Exercise: Safe options include brisk walking, swimming, yoga, and dancing[cite: 112].
Avoid: Strictly abstain from alcohol and unprescribed herbal medications[cite: 101, 102, 103].

Warning Signs to Watch For

Abdominal or pelvic pain, especially on one side (could indicate an ectopic pregnancy)[cite: 85, 86].
Vaginal bleeding or excess "water" drainage (liquor)[cite: 86, 127].
Fewer than 10 baby movements in 12 hours once you have reached 18-20 weeks[cite: 98, 100].

Managing Common Symptoms
